Marisa Plumb is a writer, although she has intermittently tried on catchier titles, such as “digital artist”. Accordingly, she creates fictional worlds that employ both traditional text and other media. These worlds misappropriate contemporary concepts to generate temporary and/or sardonic utopias. When this doesn’t seem to be working, she focuses on constructing pleasing sentences.

Marisa works as an adjunct English professor. Her background is in Literature, music, and web development, which she studied at Brown University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She also runs a fake company from a traveling cubicle, but if anyone asks, the company is not hers.
