Capitol Movement, Inc. presented The Fifth Annual Capitol Movement Project Dance Concert on Saturday March 20, 2010 at The Lincoln Theater, featuring World Premiere works from Tim Roberts, Tony Czar, J.Kevin Aguilar, Shontal Snider, Andre Fuentes, Thomas Ford, Karla Garcia and Live in Color! Named the Resident Dance Company of the historic Lincoln Theatre, the Capitol Movement dancers will dazzle audiences with a diverse repertoire of Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Gospel and Theatrical Dance.

Proceeds from this fabulous event help fund their youth outreach efforts and their scholarship programs.

Funded in part by the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, an agency supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Capitol Movement, Inc. (CMI) believes in making dance accessible to all people. It is their mission to build better lives through dance by partnering with community organizations to provide disadvantaged youth and under-served citizens the chance to participate in and patronize the arts in Washington, DC.

They also create opportunities for underprivileged DC area dancers to train and perform at the professional level. CMI represents dance in all its forms and styles as this transcends all boundaries and nurtures their mission.

More of my photos from the event can been seen at 5th Annual Capitol Movement Project photos.
