Art Therapy Prescription for a healthier, happier YOU!

Time to trade in your weekly therapy session for some local arts and culture events happening this weekend. Here at Pink Line HQ, we know that attending arts and culture events can improve your physical and mental health so we've specially selected weekend picks that are sure to get you out of the box, or should we say out of the cubicle, and feeling healthier and happier in no time.

Warning: The Pink Line Team can only help you so much without a full analysis of your condition. For more art therapy, please self medicate by checking out our calendar!

Music Pick of the Week from Hometown Sounds:

Saturday night The Black Cat Mainstage hosts a double headliner bill, with both bands celebrating brand new CD releases. Boston's Kingsley Flood is a fantastic live band with Americana influences and instrumentation and a solid rock sound. Locals Ugly Purple Sweater built a strong reputation last year playing lots of shows and promoting their full length album "Conventions". Singer Sam McCormally's voice is the perfect blend of making everyone sing along, but never matching his range and style. This band is poised to break out, and I really hope their brand new EP "DC USA" takes them big time. Add in openers Kindlewood, a sweet folk-rock local band, and you've got the best show on a night full of great options.
