Cherry Blast II was a blast! So many wonderful artists and musicians turned a warehouse and storage facility at the corner of 17th and Florida, NW, into a creative wonderland.

The experience began in the loading dock, which was filled with disco beats by DJ Gold, The Fridge DC.

Artist Adrian Parsons performed a piece in the vintage shipping container called "It Cannot Be Helped.

To get to the Dance Hall, guests took the friendly freight elevator to the third floor. Jessica Braiterman's "Button Cloud" filled the top of the space and folk singers Maureen Andary and Olivia Mancini serenaded elevator riders.

Amelia Winger-Bearskin curated a series of intriguing art videos and she gave away free bruises.  They were startlingly realistic!

Batool al-Shomrani built the "Trance Tunnel" in the center space.

The Fatback DJs rocked the house all night.

In the Art Maze, you could find various art installations like Albus Cavus' "Make Out Room," the Haiku Sake Bar by WE ARE SCIENCE!, and Marisa Plumb's performance of "Presence v. Internet."

In the Cherry Lounge, Matt Hemerlein and DJ Chris Nitti chilled out surrounded by Katie Schuler's luminescent drawings.

For those who did not purchase a ticket in advance, a line started forming at 7:30!

Thank you Security Storage and Moving for lending us the fantastic space for the night! Thank you National Cherry Blossom Festival for making this an official event!
