EXCLUSIVE: PinkLine interview with Tony-Award winning director John Tiffany!

I had the rare opportunity to sit down for a few minutes with John Tiffany, Tony-Award winning director of last season's smash, Tony Award-winning Broadway hit ONCE, regarding his highly anticipated production of BLACK WATCH, featuring the National Theatre of Scotland, now running at Shakespeare Theatre Company. Having witnessed a few visceral, entertaining scenes during a special press and social media preview (way to go, STC and NTS and other arts orgs learning how to use social!), this looks to be one of the can't-miss events of the DC theatre season. Needless to say, bringing a show based on the experiences of soldiers sent off to fight and die in Iraq TO the very city where the war was launched carries a special meaning. NOTE: PinkLine will have a separate review up shortly.
