Glen Echo Opens Its Doors to DC's "Neighborhoods"

Glen Echo Park's Photoworks Gallery just opened Neighborhoods, an exhibit featuring two photo collections with a focus on regional imagery. The first is 24 Hours East of the River by The Exposure Group of African American Photographers Association, and the second is Markets, by DC photographer Alec Dann (who also happens to be my father). Proud moment for ya girl. Check out a couple shots and gallery info below. It is perhaps a little off the beaten path for some, but it's worth a beautiful fall drive, y'all. (Show ends October 15.)

photo credit info, top to bottom: "Markets," by Alec Dann. "Empty Stairs" by Ken Hipkins of "24 Hours East of the River Project"

Gallery Info: Photoworks Gallery, 7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Glen Echo MD 20812 Hours: Saturdays 1-4pm and Sundays 1-8pm, or during classes. Admission is FREE to the public.

Loved the exhibit! The colors of the vegetables are so vivid and lush.
