Great photography exhibit at the Mexican Cultural Institute

Mauricio Alejo, Pinzas, c.2005

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of discovering an art space that has been around for a while: the Mexican Cultural Institute.  They host numerous programs that highlight the richness of Mexican culture, including contemporary art exhibits. The current exhibit, Dialogues on Mexican Photography, explores Mexican identity and how it has changed over time.  Read a review of the show HERE.

The Institute is housed in a beautiful building in Mt. Pleasant that is worth a visit if only to see the beautiful murals that line the grand staircase, the light-filled tiled music conservatory, and the sumptuous dining room.

Find out more about the Mexican Cultural Institute HERE.
