House Museums of DC: The Woodrow Wilson House

The Woodrow Wilson House, located in Dupont Circle just a couple doors down from the Textile Museum, is a beautifully-preserved window into the world of the 1920's D.C. power elite.

The site of one of the world's first radio broadcasts and a private getaway from Prohibition laws (President Wilson loved his wine), it was also the gathering place for meetings of Edith Wilson's "Occult Thought Transmission" seánces. It is a site well-known among ghost hunters and enthusiasts of the supernatural, and the House's curator was kind enough to share with us a snippet of Edith's seánce notes.
