[LISTEN] Lost Civilizations Experimental Music Project Sonic Circuits at Dynasty Ethiopian Restaurant

My only previous experience with experimental music took place a couple years ago when I happened to be at an experimental music show where a friend's mildly autistic kid started freaking out because of the weird sounds that were being emitted by the musicians. I never really thought about going back until some music people I really trusted invited me to a show recently. I loved it. I thought it was especially appropriate that the show was held in an Ethiopian restaurant. The weird setting was a great backdrop for some of the unusual instruments, and the sounds they emitted were lovely.

This recording is from the December 18 show I attended, which was a benefit for the Sonic Circuits Festival of Experimental Music (www.dc-soniccircuits.org/) hosted by Dynasty Ethiopian Restaurant by the Lost Civilizations experimental music project (upcoming.yahoo.com/event/8852179/), featuring Doug Kallmeyer (bass and electronics), Jerry Busher (percussion), Emily Chimiak (violin), Mike Sebastian tenor sax and saxello), Ted Zook (odd electronic instruments).
