Not your usual kind of adult education classes at Artisphere this fall

Artisphere has offered an incredible amount of programming since it opened two years ago. Music, theater, visual arts, concerts, dance, and the list goes on. This fall, Artisphere will offer adult classes that let you learn fun skills from fabulous experts. Don't just watch and listen, participate and create!

First up, is mask making for adults. By the end of the class, you'll have your Halloween costume all ready to go. The class starts this Wednesday, October 3, and is led by Lynn Sharp Spears whose experience in set design, costuming, casting, and makeup include: The Learning Channel, Discovery, National Geographic, and more!

Members of the award-winning Fab Lab DC will teach a course in design thinking, and utilizing new tools and technologies for personal manufacturing, including 3D printing. "Fab" stands for Fabulous and Fabrication. Take your ideas from concept, to rendering, to prototype in this dynamic design class and learn how to make almost anything you want!

The Magic School for Adults taught by renowned magician David London looks specially interesting to me because it's not just about learbing how to do magic tricks. His work explores how we interact with reality and the imagination. And you'll leave knowing a few tricks to impress your friends!

Finally, one of DC's greatest photographers Frank Hallam Day will teach an intensive three day course on photography. You'll learn new skills through experience as he will take you around Rosslyn and Georgetown to shoot. You'll learn skills shooting the night lights, pedestrians, and reflective surfaces of the urban landscape.

Sign up here soon. Classes begin this week!
