There are still a ton of ways to experience Corcoran Gallery of Art's Chris Martin: Painting Big exhibition. We've covered all of the steps already, but want to leave you with all of the reasons why Corcoran is a great place to be this summer.
- Kids workshops! Kids ages 12+ can partake in a poetry-based lecture and workshop in Say it Big! on July 23rd.
- Dancing! On July 30th, get your groove on while watching performers pop and twist against Martin’s monumental canvases in Break it Down Like James Brown.
- Artist Talks! Hear about the exhibition from the artist himself on September 8.
- Parties! And finally, join contemporary art lovers across D.C. for the Corcoran’s fall fundraiser, NOW at Night on October 21st.
Still not sure if Chris Martin is right for you? Check out Corcoran's three amazing videos featuring (including an awesome time lapse behind-the-scenes video of the Atrium installation).
In conclusion, don't let this exhibition pass by without visiting. It's so big and captivating, it deserves its own haiku. So here is our little Pink Line creative charge:
