Rad Tuesday Tunes

When I was 18 I gambled on not going to college and instead joined a band and went on tour. My Mom was beyond skeptical about this but was always supportive throughout my whole musical traveling life. With that being said, it's Mother's Day on Sunday so it's super important for all of us to go out on our lunch breaks today and buy the Mom in our lives a card so that it arrives by this weekend.
Bowerbirds "Tuck The Darkness In"
If this song didn't have such a great video, I probably would have turned it off after the first minute or so but I was totally drawn to the story being told. And by the end, I loved this song.
Angel Haze "Higher"
I know nothing about her other than her stuff is self-released. This is my favorite song of the week.
Dive "How Long Have You Known"
Guitar driven, swirly pop goodness that won't get out of my head.
Big K.R.I.T. "Wake Up"
From the excellent 4eva N a Day mixtape that came out in March. Introspective hip hop is always welcome on my stereo.
Beastie Boys "Sabotage" (Live)
I'm pretty sure that Licensed to Ill was the first record that I owned where I was scared my Mom might find out I was listening to it. For those lamenting the loss of Adam Yauch, this is an excellent read.
