Rad Tuesday Tunes

Often times I feel bad for bands that play in DC. It's kind of a pain to get in and out of the city and the crowds despite being usually attentive and appreciative, are kind of boring. After seeing the Hot Snakes this past weekend though maybe it's changing. Such a great, energetic and awesome crowd for such a deserving band. Well done attendees, well done. On a side note, is vacationing in Palm Springs in August suicidal?

White Manna "Acid Head"
Bad ass psych rock meant to be played at an extreme volume. I wanna be in this band.

JJ "Times"
"All I need is here on my wishlist..."

World Tour "Forever Tonight"
Blissed out, lush, happy/sad pop song. My favorite kind.

Beachwood Sparks "Forget the Song"
First album in years from these LA cosmic country dudes.

Brian Jonestown Massacre "When Jokers Attack"
Years ago, I used to dj Tuesday nights at Kingpin to nobody. Like, literally, nobody. But it was better that way since I could play this song followed by Willie Nelson, Hawkwind, ZZ Top... while playing dominoes with the bartender.

Why don't you go to Palm Springs in the winter like normal people?

So that I can avoid the normal people?
