Recently Inspired: 2Tone Jones

I first met DJ 2Tone Jones when I worked for Words Beats & Life; he taught chess for the afterschool program I managed. We found out we were neighbors, and started driving to work together. Half hour car rides with DJs are always the move - it was during these drives that I got my first listen to "Shaolin Jazz - The 37th Chamber," the mixtape he'd been working on with Gerald Watson. A blend of Wu-Tang & jazz, I was hooked from first listen.

If that weren't enough, he bakes! Owner of Pie King DC, 2Tone makes the best sweet potato pies and chocolate chip cookies I've ever eaten (sorry mom!).

Check out Shaolin Jazz and Pie King below. You can also catch 2Tone's pies at Boundary Stone in Bloomingdale, as of last month!
