Swingin' at Arts on Foot!
by Elizabeth Ward

Pink Line interns sharing the awesome snowboard swing!
The Pink Line Project's snowboard swing, donated by Jade Floyd of DC This Week and constructed by art collector Richard Gould, was quite the novelty at Arts On Foot on Saturday! While we couldn't actually swing on the swing, the widely-popular feature served as a fun photo op for all ages and passersby.

Also featured at the Pink Line Project Booth were the amazing performance artists WE ARE SCIENCE! Chief researchers Adam Good and Jon Lee led fun, free, and improvised adventures around the Cultural Corridor terrain. WE ARE SCIENCE! is a performance art collective exploring how truth emerges in the interactions of the moment. Check them out on Facebook!
Finally, The Pink Line Project hosted an incredibly creative initiative to help local artist DECOY raise awareness about hunger in the nation's capitol. Approximately 56,000 children in DC are at risk of hunger. This mean 1 in 2 children are at risk! To raise awareness of this problem, Arts on Foot attendees helped DECOY decorate lunchbags for these children. The lunchbags were then distributed to area kitchens that provide meals to those in need. Check out DECOY's website for more information about the hunger relief project.
