Want DC to have a music festival? You can help!

Dave Mann and a dedicated team of volunteers are working to bring DC its very own music festival. This is not their first time at the rodeo but they are working to bring a festival on par with SXSW to DC and this takes time and money. Each year the scope grows. This year, the Sweet Tea Pumpkin Pie fest will be taking place over Columbus Day weekend, October 5-6. There will be more than 200 bands from all over the country playing the festival that will be spread throughout as many neighborhoods in DC as they can find venues in.  It will definitely be ranging from U Street through Cleveland Park.

The Black Cat has gotten on board and is hosting its last of 3 STPP fundraisers this first Friday, August 3 on their Main Stage. The bands playing are Drop Electric, Conveyor, Southwork, and Presto Bando. Be sure to go out on Friday and support STPP. The doors open at 9 pm and tickets are $10. The more money STPP raises the higher caliber of bands that they can book and the more live music they can bring to DC. Help make DC's music festival the best that it can be and hear some great music.

Few people work harder both to support live music here in DC & to carry the word about how awesome DC music is to the country/world than Dave Mann & his Sweet Tea Pumpkin Pie movement. Thanks, Dave!
