We are in the middle of an arts reformation!

A call to action from arts advocate and revolutionary Ben Cameron, who says we are in the middle of an arts reformation not unlike the religious reformation. Both fueled by technological advances, both redistribute culture, both take away the intermediary between man and the divine experience. Pay attention!

Ben Cameron is one of the nation's leading arts advocates and is currently serving as the program director for the arts at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. In his thought-provoking speech, Cameron makes an impassioned case for the value, impact and necessity of the arts in building a better, smarter, more tolerant and civil society. Armed with facts and figures, Cameron urges his audience to embrace the digital age and to transition from "arts supporters" to "arts advocates" -- suggesting these shifts are essential in a time of decreasing traditional arts attendance but increasing arts participation.
