Katlin is intent on combining her passion for the arts, her passion for writing, and her background in journalism. Originally from Virginia, she received her BA from the University of Virginia, where she studied English and studio art. She then continued on to the University of Missouri for her MA in print journalism (with a magazine writing focus specifically). She moved to DC last January where she completed her thesis in travel journalism and, at the same, worked for the travel section of Washingtonian's website. She has worked in the communications realm since then, specifically in media relations, content management, magazine production, social media and blogging, editing, and--of course--writing. She is also interested in sustainable design, painting, running, volunteering, and working with non-profits.
