Pleatherette provides creative style and fashion consulting services, from basic styling and editorial needs to fully–integrated, style-based marketing campaigns and experiential fashion projects. We started out as the Birds of a Pleather blog in 2010. What was at first a month-long fashion editorial project morphed into a broader discussion of style and its place in Washington, DC. In 2011, people started asking us to do cool projects, like styling a Solas Nua fashion show with emerging Irish designers and mounting a fashion-specific installation in a vacant retail storefront as part of Digital Capital Week. We loved the projects, the creative outlet and the people we got to work with. So here we are, part of a blossoming style community here in the Nation’s Capital.
