Sarah Massey is a public relations expert who specializes in shifting the mass media conversation to include human rights, the arts, and socially responsible businesses. Sarah founded Massey Media in 2005 to build the progressive movement with creative and strategic communications. Over the last four years, Massey Media’s work has grown to include arts and business representation.
Before launching Massey Media, Sarah served as Media Specialist for the AFL-CIO, where her campaign experience included the national campaign to raise the minimum wage, the 2004 national election, and the “Show us the Jobs Tour.” Before specializing in communications and media, Sarah was an Urban Planner in New York City, where she worked with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a transit rider’s advocate. While in New York City, Sarah also worked as Communications Director for WE ACT for Environmental Justice and as Communications Director for the National Employment Law Project.
