SUMMARY:Opening: AMY LIN: Kinetics at Addison/Ripley Fine Art
LOCATION:Addison/Ripley Fine Art\n1670 Wisconsin Ave.\, NW\nWashington\, District Of Columbia 20007
DESCRIPTION:Addison/Ripley Fine Art is pleased to present an exhibition of work by artist Amy Lin. Lin’s drawings explore the interactions among little circular dots. On one level\, the interactions are physical and the dots exist as particles or molecules. On another level\, the interactions are social and the dots represent people or societies. Because the dots are hand-drawn\, they are each a little different and (similar to people) their differences are what make them beautiful.\n\nSince Lin's first dot drawing in 2004\, Lin's dots have been featured in six solo exhibitions including one curated by Anne Collins Goodyear\, Assistant Curator at the National Portrait Gallery. Lin's drawings have been reviewed in the Washington Post and included in the Mid-Atlantic Edition of New American Paintings (curated by Stephen Bennett Phillips\, formerly with the Phillips Collection).\n\nGallery hours are Tuesday - Saturday\, 11 - 6 and by appointment.
