About This Event
In this session of the popular Explore the Arts lecture series, dance critic Alexandra Tomalonis uses video of well-known ballets to take us beyond the steps and into the fine craft of making a ballet. There are many different styles and approaches to ballet. One of the oldest—not surprising since ballet began in France 400 years ago—is the French insistence on detail, precision, and a perfection that is both physical and aesthetic. Come take a look at Paris style. Note: Paris Opera Ballet does not participate in this session.
Tickets:$15 ($13 Subscribers/Members)
