Caryl Burtner was born in Washington DC, and grew up in Bellevue, Washington and Vienna, Virginia. She moved to Richmond to attend art school at Virginia Commonwealth University, and has lived there ever since - collecting and cataloguing, documenting subtle changes, and testing superstitions.

Taliaferro Logan received a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. She lives in Roanoke, Virginia, where she is director of Olin Art Gallery at Roanoke College.

Tosha Grantham is an artist, writer and independent curator. She is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at the University of Maryland at College Park. She lives in Richmond, Virginia.
