Beth Cartland: "The Shape of Color II"

About This Event

The colorfully bold and appealing abstract works in oil and mixed media that comprise Beth Cartland's latest exhibition, The Shape of Color II, reflect both the spontaneity with which the works are produced, as well as the artist's underlying mastery of classical techniques which make such spontaneity successful. Cartland's innovative view of color, line and texture reveal a strong personal vision. Cartland is a Washington, DC artist who has exhibited extensively in the United States. She also has exhibited in China, Venezuela, and with the Arts in Embassies Program of the US Department of State. Cartland received a Masters of Fine Arts degree from The American University and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design.
