About This Event
CTRL + P
The Arlington Arts Center (AAC) and The Studio Visit (TSV) have invited two guest curators, Kristina Bilonick and Julie Chae, to develop tandem exhibitions exploring the theme of print. Each curator will bring her individual methodology and point of view to the selection, arrangement and contextualization of the works in the exhibition.
Lee Gainer: Pursuit of Happiness
Using manipulated snapshots of Fourth of July parades and beach resorts, Lee Gainer explores how memories are constructed with four new paintings in her solo exhibition.
Sonreir Project
M. Gert Barkovic founded the Sonreir Project in 2007. The project allows artists to travel with medical teams in order to bring a warm, creative atmosphere into the recovery environment for young patients. The Sonreir Project has directly influenced patient healing and recovery, bringing ease to concerned families and providing an uplifting space to the visiting surgical teams. In celebration of the Sonreir Project, works by patients will be on view in the Jenkins Community Gallery at AAC.
