Because relationships are hard enough. Going out together shouldn't have to be. Impress your date with "Date DCarts!"
Like any good relationship, Date DCarts kicks-off with a nod to the past and a leap into the future. Join other couples at Ted’s Bulletin in Capitol Hill for a throw-back to an American classic with a bit of style: Your dinner will include your choice from a new array of Ted’s gourmet hamburgers, an adult milkshake, and will be topped off with a famous homemade pop tart.
From there you’ll be launched forward into the night by your on-demand private driver Uber. They’ll take you straight to Atlas Performing Arts Center where you’ll catch a performance of DC-based Step Afrika!’s Nxt/Step, an all new production that remixes the power and international influence of stepping with hip hop, multimedia, rhythm, and innovation. With stepping as the muse, the explosive dancers of Step Afrika! will bring to the stage a fresh look at contemporary culture, music, and style. Nxt/Step explores the interconnectivity of trends from hip hop music and youth culture, to the explosion of multimedia throughout society. And, unlike traditional theatre and dance performances who restrict the use of photography and video‐taping of a performance, Nxt/Step will encourage audiences to tweet, text, photograph, and share as much as possible via social media, which will appear on a backdrop in real‐time during the show.
After Nxt/Step, you’ll join your fellow Date DCarts couples for a cocktail next door at Smith Commons in a private area reserved just for the group, where you’ll be joined by select performers of Nxt/Step and enjoy a complimentary cocktail on us.
And after that...? Well, the evening’s future is in your hands. ;-)
Each date package includes:
*Prix-Fixe dinner for two at Ted’s Bulletin (tax and gratuity ARE included)
*UBER transportation to Atlas Performing Arts Center
*Two tickets to Nxt/Step
*Two cocktails, conversation, and party at Smith Commons
Act fast! Space is extremely limited.
