About This Event

The Sacred Roots International Indie Arts and Music Festival was developed by Tracie Jade (playwright, actress, visionary) to support independent artists in their pursuit of artistic freedom. The Sacred Roots Indie Fest, D.C. will celebrate independent artists from all disciplines. Over a three (3) day period, art enthusiasts will gather from nightclubs to mansions, enjoying new works from artists who have developed a unique niche for themselves in the business of making art. This power-packed event boasts Grammy-nominated indie artists to street corner word smiths such as Akua Allrich, Yahzarah, Roz White, Marmouna Youssef and many others, gathering for a weekend that promises to be memorable. The festival will also host a FREE open air market place on July 1 and workshops for emerging indie artists providing classes in social media marketing and strategic planning, to production and distribution.
