About This Event

On Saturday August 18th DeanwoodxDesign Sound Series presents singer-songwriter Deja Belle. You may have heard Deja Belle when she was announced the winner of the 2012 Passport5Giveaway Jingle Contest. Deja Belle is back on the music scene with a new burst of energy and beautiful soul music that chronicles the triumphs and hardships of love and life. This will be her first performance in over a year and will feature new music from her highly anticipated EP "Je Suis." DJ Spin will be on the 1's and 2's. You don't want to miss this!!!.

Deja Belle has captivated the Washington, DC area with her blend of Nu-Soul, Jazz, Funk, and Hip-Hop since 2006. Although her raspy tone resonates with undeniable power, the airiness and sweetness of her vocals is what commands your heart to feel. As a songwriter she pens anecdotal, sensual and quirky lyrics that stick with you.

The DeanwoodxDesign Sound Series is a live music series featuring some of the DC area’s most talented singers/songwriters. Hosted by Deanwood Resident and Grammy nominated artist Kokayi.
