About This Event

Non-superpowered humans who don costumes to fight crime have been around a long time. They've been seen in comics, of course, but also in film (Mystery Men, Kick-Ass, Super) and in fact (D.C.'s own Beltway Batman and Capital City Super Squad, among others). Now these Real-Life Superheroes -- aka Reals command the theatrical stage in a new dark comedy by local writer Gwydion Suilebhan. Armed with an origin story and a cape, Nightlife (Andres C. Talero) launches his own urban clean-up campaign, only to collide with other reals who begin to challenge his ideas on justice and civic pride, not to mention the real physical threats he now faces.
