About This Event
The Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council further demonstrates its commitment to high-level support for the arts, with the 2012 Arts Gala Awards on November 17th.
The event will take place at the stunning new $71 million Fine and Performing Arts Center on the Campus of Bowie State University. Proceeds from the Arts Gala awards will benefit the center and support Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council, helping to expand opportunities for arts education and world-class productions.
The elegantly appointed 123,000 square-foot facility features an intimate 400-seat main stage theater with a rising orchestra pit, a black box theater for experimental works, a 150-seat recital hall, a versatile movement studio and a fine art gallery. Acoustics in every space equal some of the best professional performance venues in the region.
Together, Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council and Bowie State University are taking Arts Education to a new level, creating new opportunities in the arts and enabling students to explore emerging careers at the intersection of art and technology. This is an event you won't want to miss.
Event sponsorships are available and ticket sales will begin in mid September. For Further information contact Rhonda Dallas, Executive Director, Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council, 301-277-1402.
