Monument Presents: An Evening to Benefit Sandy Hook Elementary

About This Event

On Thursday, January 3rd, Monument is hosting an Evening to Benefit Sandy Hook at DC9. The Monument Team is still hard at work to ensure a night worthy of such a cause, but we wanted to flag the date before you head home for the holidays, as well as share a little of what you can expect.

We are proud to announce that one the DC's most distinct voices - and Monument personal favorite - Justin Jones, will headline the concert. Additionally, the night will feature a special tribute to Paul Simon's classic album Graceland by Ryan Hunter Mitchell, Brandon Minow, Zach Goodwin and friends. All proceeds will go to the Connecticut PTA, which is coordinating fundraising efforts to support the ongoing needs of the Sandy Hook Community.

Monument has always championed causes rooted in DC, but in the face of a national tragedy, we are seeking to help those beyond our borders. We hope you can join us in doing so.

In addition to the fundraising efforts, the Connecticut PTSA is also collecting white paper snowflakes to adorn the walls of the school and welcome students with a winter wonderland when they begin classes in mid-January. Please consider making and bringing a snowflake that we will ship on January 4th.
