About This Event

Washington, D.C. (September 28, 2010) – The House of Sweden will host and one of twenty ‘beautiful and brilliant’ ladies will be crowned as winner and official representative of the 2nd Annual ‘Miss Sinergy’ charity beauty pageant on October 16th, 2010. The pageant will bring together some of the world's most interesting and influential individuals while promoting awareness of the global prominence and severity of breast cancer.

This year, the pageant will add an additional element---a philanthropic tour with the Small Victories Projects, promoting civic activism beginning in D.C. and extending overseas. Earlier this year, representatives from Sweden, Iceland, Canada, the Middle East and the United States with backgrounds in pageantry, philanthropy, fashion, and media, judged the preliminary competition that took a field of 600 applicants down to 20 talented and beautiful finalists. The top twenty contenders were announced on MissSinergy.com and invited to compete for the crown at the House of Sweden, home to the Icelandic and Swedish Embassies, in the heart of Georgetown.

This year’s event will be hosted by Dan Renzi, cast member of “The Real World” Season 5, Miami and Miss Universe Ireland 2010, Rozanna Purcell. The judging panel includes: the current Miss Universe Sweden, Michaela Savic; former Project Runway cast member Emmett McCarthy; and DC’s own Katherine Kennedy, star of Blonde Charity Mafia and CEO of Katherine Kennedy Consulting; also included in the list of special guests and judges will be the former Miss Universe pageant contestants from Iceland, Canada, Sweden, the Slovak Republic, and New Zealand, along with former Miss USA contestants from DC, Maryland, Utah and Oklahoma, as well as many more spectacular honorees.

Doors open at 7 p.m. for an elegant and fully catered evening. Three tiers of tickets are available for purchase. Proceeds from event will benefit the fight against breast cancer in honor of October's awareness month.

The Miss Sinergy competition is held annually as a means to crown and promote a charitable ambassador who creates and champions the platform of her own choice during her twelve month reign. This year, women from all over the United States will compete on their contributions and desire to aid national and international charitable causes affecting the quality of life around the world. One propitious candidate will standout to receive the title of Miss Sinergy 2010-2011 and become the new face for Miss Sinergy and represent the Small Victories Project’s mission to extend their donor and volunteer community.
