About This Event

The discussion panel will cover the creative processes of featured artists Dana Maier and Adam Griffiths, and how their art relates to bar culture, aging and adulthood. Both artists touch on themes of drinking in their work; Maier's process involved drawing on hundreds of coasters in bars and other establishments, while Griffiths' uses illustration and animation to document the spiritual journey of Candi Lightner, founder of M.A.D.D.(Mothers against Drunk Driving) and all of her public persona's unsettling contradictions.
