Tent of Dreams: An Occuplay
Are you the 99%? Probably. Does Occupy affect you? Maybe. But what the hell are they actually trying to do?? Tent of Dreams: An Occuplay is a collaboratively-created, original work based on true events at DC’s own Occupation in McPherson Square. Written by Campus Progress reporter Emily Crockett, Tent of Dreams takes you inside the goals, struggles, and dreams of Occupy DC to explore the question: does Occupy matter?
Tent of Dreams was a smashing success at the 2012 Capital Fringe Festival, selling out 60% of performances! Here's what the critics said:
"Because it faithfully renders the struggles, hopes, and accomplishments of Occupy DC and at the same time is watchable, funny, and even moving, Tent of Dreams is an important work, well worth every viewer’s time." - DC Metro Theater Arts
"Mic check! Tent of Dreams: An Occuplay is not an exposé of Occupy’s worst, most outrageous moments. It is not trying to recruit you into the Occupy ranks. It is a play with a concentrated setting, sharp writing, and stellar performances. And it will definitely keep you occupied." - DC Theatre Scene
